Athletic Summer Camps

Join Saint Joe's head coach Dennis McCaffery and the 2025 Greater Middlesex Conference Championship team for a 3-day baseball clinic. Follow in the footsteps of the Falcon Baseball team and master the fundamentals of the sport, including hitting, fielding and pitching. 

Daily Schedule includes – individual player workouts, proper stretching techniques, fundamental drill stations, game play and individual competition and drills, lectures, contests and special game situations.

Join Saint Joe's in the Summer of 2025 for our annual Future Falcons Basketball Camp. Boys in grades 4 through 9 are welcome to attend and learn more about the teamwork, receive guidance from expert coaches, and improve their skills on the court.

Mark Taylor '83, Lead Instructor & Saint Joseph Basketball Head Coach

Saint Joe's new head basketball coach Mark Taylor '83 will be the lead instructor for the Saint Joseph Basketball Camp. Taylor has over 30 years of coaching experience, including multiple state titles and county championships. In 28 years as a head coach, Taylor produced eight NBA draft picks, including two lottery selections (Top 4 picks). As head coach of Saint Joe's from 1997 to 2006, Taylor developed Jay Williams '09 and Andrew Bynum '05 in McDonald's High School All-Americans. Williams was the National High School Player of the Year in 1999 before attending Duke University and was later selected No. 2 overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2002 NBA Draft. Bynum was drafted out of Saint Joe's No. 10 overall in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. 

Other camp instructors include: 

Matt Farrell: A 2018 All-ACC player at Notre Dame, Farrell played two years in the NBA G-League (Delaware Blue Coats and Austin Spurs) and two years in Europe. A member of the NBA Coaching Development Program, Farrell previously coaches the past two seasons at Compass Basketball Academy.

Tim Corrigan '93: A standout basketball player at Saint Joe's in the early 1990s, Corrigan played at Kean University before spending time on the professional circuit in Europe. He is currently the head girls basketball coach at St. Thomas Aquinas High School where he has led the team to multiple Greater Middlesex Conference titles.

Camp Director: Saint Joe's Head Coach Bill Tracy

About the Camp Director: 

Bill Tracy was named the head coach at Saint Joseph High School in the Winter of 2022. The previous NJ.com/Star Ledger Coach of the Year (2013), Tracy has been a head football coach in New Jersey for over 20 years. Tracy started his head coaching career at Livingston High School from 1998 to 2008. During his time in Livingston, he led the Lancers to the state playoffs three times, including a state championship run in 2008. 

Tracy moved on to Ridge High School from 2009 to 2019 where he led the Red Devils to a 2013 perfect record and state championship. His run in Somerset County included three conference championships (2009, 2012, 2013), eight state tournament appearances, three state semifinal games and two state finals, on top of the 2013 title.

The Mountainside resident spent the last two seasons as the Offensive Coordinator at Governor Livingston High School (Berkeley Heights, NJ).

Tracy was a 2014 inductee to the New Jersey Scholastic Coaches' Hall of Fame.

The ice hockey coaching staff of Saint Joseph Metuchen High School is very happy to offer our Annual Summer Ice Hockey Clinic for 2025 at The Arenas at Woodbridge (Woodbridge Community Center).  For more than 15 years this clinic has helped players improve their ice hockey skills and knowledge in a relaxed, fun environment. 

Each session is designed around specific objectives.  During this clinic, the Saint Joseph Metuchen HS ice hockey staff teaches core skills and techniques for players including skating technique and form, puck handling, shooting passing, angling, checking.  Players are grouped by age and experience utilizing workstation format to maximize high quality repetitions for each skill. For Goalies, specialized goaltending skills and techniques are taught by our Goalie Coach.

NJ Premier Volleyball Camp is in its 15th year and was founded by Miguel Cabrita, Head Boys Volleyball Coach for Saint Joseph H.S. in Metuchen, NJ. With over 30 years of collegiate and high school coaching experience, Coach Cabrita has developed a camp that not only concentrates on the fundamentals of volleyball for beginners but also challenges the experienced players who are looking to elevate their game.

Coach Cabrita has personally selected the coaching staff to ensure that a strong representation of the most talented collegiate coaches and high school coaches from New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania are available to guide and instruct the volleyball campers with the most up-to-date techniques and skills. NJ Premier Volleyball Camp prides itself on having the best coach-to-player ratio for any camp with 1 coach to every 9 players. No other camp in the area can measure up to the experience level and accolades of the NJ Premier Volleyball Coaches.

Will YOU be a Future Falcon Sculler?

Our two-week summer Learn-to-Row Camp will introduce you to the sport of competitive rowing and prepare you for tryouts on the rowing team at Saint Joseph.

A complete exploration of the sport of sculling: technique, training, boatmanship, rigging and more. The program includes 11 scheduled on-water sessions, two video review sessions per camper, and a variety of land sessions such as core strengthening, yoga, rigging, and ergometer training.

Our camp fee covers all elements of the program itself, including the use of a sculling shell appropriate to your stage of development.

Open to students entering grades 3–9, the camp focuses on offensive and defensive fundamentals, skill development, game play, and position-specific training led by experienced coaches and current players.

Tony Calandra: Lead Instructor & Saint Joseph Lacrosse Head Coach

Anthony Calandra is a Health and Physical Education teacher and the Head Lacrosse Coach at Saint Joseph High School. A former standout player and experienced coach, Calandra was introduced as the Falcons’ head lacrosse coach in 2021, bringing a deep passion for the game and a commitment to developing both the athletic and personal potential of his players. He emphasizes fundamentals, teamwork, and competitive resilience, helping build a lacrosse program that strives for success on the field while fostering strong character and leadership in the classroom and community.
