The entire Saint Joseph High School community, including alumni, parents, friends and community partners are invited to Third Annual Green Tie Gala.

Proceeds from the event will be directed to The Saint Joseph Annual Fund, allowing us to continue our tradition of excellence in educating and forming young men. The Saint Joseph Annual Fund supports essential areas of the Saint Joseph journey, including academics, clubs & activities, and athletics. The Fund also provides scholarship and needs-based financial assistance to allow more deserving young men to experience the Saint Joe's journey.

The schedule of events for this Black-Tie evening includes entertainment by The Inferno's Band, the No. 1 show band in New jersey and the area's premiere live performance group. Will Fern '82, International Champion of Strolling Magic, will also be on hand to mystify and amaze you throughout the evening.

Consider celebrating the Saint Joe's difference as we highlight our honoree and the collective generosity of the extended Falcon Family!

Honoring Kevin Ryan '85

The Third Annual Green Tie Gala honors Kevin Ryan '85.

Kevin Ryan has served as the president and CEO of Covenant House International since 2009. Under his leadership, Covenant House has seen the largest period of expansion, renovation, and renewal in its history: Covenant House now stretches across 34 cities in 6 countries and reaches tens of thousands of children and youth annually. Covenant House has been recognized with several of the world's most distinguished human rights awards, including the Conrad Hilton Humanitarian Award, the WOLA Human Rights Prize and the Olof Palme Peace Prize.

Kevin is the co-author of the national best seller, Almost Home, and has a J.D. degree from Georgetown Law School, a Master of Laws (LLM) from New York University Law School, and a B.A. from the Catholic University of America. He is a former Skadden Fellow and Wasserstein Fellow at Harvard Law School, and was the first public Child Advocate and the first Commissioner of Children and Families in New Jersey. He served as a member of President Barack Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships; an advisor to Major League Baseball on the fight against human trafficking; Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Human Services; and serves by appointment of federal judges across the United States to monitor efforts to reform child welfare systems.

He is a 3-time NYC and Dublin marathon runner and the producer of several plays and musicals on Broadway, most recently the revival of Into The Woods, The Piano Lesson starring Samuel Jackson, and Ohio State Murders, starring Audra McDonald.  He and his wife Clare are the parents of six children and two dogs.

2022 marks the 30th anniversary of Kevin’s first day at Covenant House, and also his last full year leading the organization. He has announced he plans to step down in early 2023.

As we celebrate the Year of Excellence, we recognize that these are some exciting times at Saint Joseph High School. We have award winning academics, championship caliber athletic programs, nationally recognized clubs & activities and a Campus Ministry organization that rivals no other.

The Saint Joseph Annual Fund supports many of these initiatives every year, including more than $1 Million in scholarships and need-based financial aid to more than half of our students this school year. Despite our successful funding of academics, athletics and clubs & activities, Saint Joseph High School still needs more.

Donations of all sizes go a long way to providing the necessary funding to support each student's Journey to Excellence.

Thank You to Our Generous Partners

Consider the contacts you have to increase our community support and enhance the essential areas of the Saint Joseph student experience, including academics, clubs & activities and athletics, and providing Need-Based Financial Assistance.
