Astronomy Club

Students work with Mr. Ernst to organize nights for using the telescope/observatory in the back fields of campus. They pick what they wish to observe and learn the different techniques for that project (lunar, planetary, deep space, etc.) Mr. Ernst teaches them the different lenses available and how to operate the program/machinery of the telescope. The club also wishes to participate this year in the NASA: Mission to Mars Student Challenge.

Meetings: Monthly meetings (more frequent during peak times for observation - Fall and Spring). Meetings for NASA Student Challenge will be set when participation level is known.
