After a highly successful 2022-2023 season, the Saint Joseph Wrestling Team looks to capitalize on returning talent and return to glory this winter.

Head Coach Mike Carbone is entering his 4th season with the team and helped to jump-start the Falcons wrestling program. 

The Falcons went 17-5 last year, with key victories over South Plainfield, Old Bridge and Seton Hall Prep, leading to a Greater Middlesex Conference Championship. Giovanni Alejandro '24 was the state runner-up in the NJSIAA Individual Wrestling Tournament, the highest finish in school history. In total, seven wrestlers participated in the state's marquee wrestling event. 

Coming into the 2023-2024 season, three state tournament return, including Brian Christie '24, Morgan Schwarz '26 and Tyler Whitford '26.

Notable alumni include Alejandrjo '24, who is currently wrestling at Rider University, Evan Mendez '24, who wrestles at Muhlenburg, Anthony Bistani ‘22, who is currently wrestling for the Steven’s Institute of Technology, David Rosenfarb ‘22 who is wrestling for Muhlenberg, and Nico Calello ‘22 who is wrestling for Kent State.
