2025 GMC CHAMPIONS!
The 2025 Saint Joseph Falcons won the Greater Middlesex Conference Championship for the 10th time in school history. JP Zayle '25 hit a walk-off homerun in the title game to lift Saint Joe's to victory.
Team Overview
HISTORY
The Saint Joseph Baseball program is rich with history, dating back to the late 1960s. The Falcons have won five NJSIAA section titles and 10 Greater Middlesex Conference titles. Most recently, Saint Joe's won the 2025 GMC title in dramatic fashion over Edison.
TRAINING
The baseball program competes during the Spring season, beginning with practice in early March and culminating with the state tournament in early June. Games and practices are held on Daniel Anderl '18 Memorial Field. During the offseason, the team participates in the overall athletic department's weight lifting & conditioning program in Woodburn Hall.
Team levels & competition
Saint Joseph Baseball fields three levels of competition annually (freshman, junior varsity and varsity). All three levels compete in the Greater Middlesex Conference, which is comprises of schools in and around Middlesex County. Each year, the Falcons compete against some of the best teams in New Jersey during both their conference and non-conference slate.

Meet the Coaches
Baseball Coaches
Dennis McCaffery is the Head Baseball Coach at Saint Joseph High School. A Hall of Fame high school baseball coach with more than 500 career wins, McCaffery joined Saint Joe’s in 2025 after a legendary 25‑year tenure at Cranford High School, where he captured four state championships, 12 sectional titles, and 11 Union County Tournament championships en route to the fourth most wins in Union County history.
Known for building competitive, fundamentally sound teams and emphasizing character development, McCaffery brings a wealth of experience from both his outstanding coaching career and his background as a standout player at Roselle Park High School, Brookdale Community College, and Villanova University.

Summer Camp
Future Falcons Baseball Camp
Come go through the skills and drills, competitions, situations, and game play to get your game better this summer! Work hard and have fun playing the game. Each week will be fast-paced and teach campers how to play the game the right way. Contests include golden arm, egg toss, home run derby, roadrunner, and “sliding” practice.
Join Saint Joe's head coach Dennis McCaffery and the 2025 Greater Middlesex Conference Championship team for a 3-day baseball clinic. Follow in the footsteps of the Falcon Baseball team and master the fundamentals of the sport, including hitting, fielding and pitching.
Daily Schedule includes – individual player workouts, proper stretching techniques, fundamental drill stations, game play and individual competition and drills, lectures, contests and special game situations.
Families and friends are invited to join us for the Camp Awards Ceremony –
