The Students Against Distracted Driving Club shared throughout the day on April 25 the consequences of driving distracted and driving intoxicated. During class time, one student was pronounced dead every 11 minutes, the statistical death rate of teenage drivers and passengers. In the afternoon, with the help of the Metuchen Police Department, The Metuchen Fire Department, and the EMS, a mock accident was staged on campus with one casuality, one person paralyzed for life, and several injuries. The intoxicated driver was arrested and put on trial. In this video, there is a plea from the deceased student's mother that all drivers should watch.
