Academic Areas
The Social Studies program has a two-part design: a series of core courses in which all students must enroll and a diverse selection of electives open to the students who have a greater interest in the subject. The core of the program includes three general survey courses designed to provide students with the broad background necessary for more advanced work in specialized areas. The full-year required courses are World History, United States History I, and United States History II. Students may take these course at the academic, honors, or advanced placement level.
