The Saint Joseph High School Student Council meets weekly and works in conjunction with the student body and leadership team to fuse ideas, interests, and concerns where applicable. Student Council is in charge of school-wide activities and events, including, but not limited to dances, Community Days, fields days, School Spirit Week, fundraising events and school reform.
The representative process for the 2019-2020 school year information will be sent through email in September for upperclassmen. Freshman elections will take place in October as well, for both officers and representatives.
Through Student Council, students learn what it takes to lead and make decisions while working within a bureaucracy. Students are held accountable for their actions, and they also experience the success of a project or event that comes together. Student government is an excellent way to hone leadership skills and self-motivation.
