The Seven Key Areas of the Saint Joe's Difference

As a Brothers of the Sacred Heart school, Saint Joseph High School has a rich tradition of making a difference in the lives of each and every Falcon that walks these halls. 

Nurturing a love of God, learning, and excellence, there are seven key areas where the Saint Joe’s Difference is tangible in action.

1. Faith - The philosophy of Saint Joseph High School is rooted in the holistic approach to education that the Brothers of the Sacred Heart have been utilizing since their founding in 1821. These teachings of faith and service are evident through programs such as Campus Ministry, our theology classes, and monthly masses.  

2. Academics - At Saint Joe’s, excellence is a habit, and a consistent one too. Students flourish by developing a lifelong love of learning across a myriad of subjects. Accelerated and AP courses strengthen the core subjects, while co-curriculars allow students to explore S.T.R.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) subjects and earn course credits.  

3. Athletics - The Falcons are a dominant force in the central New Jersey athletics world. The current state champions in bowling and volleyball, our 16 different teams teach sportsmanship, teamwork, and commitment through competition. 

4. Extra Curriculars - Over 40 different clubs and activities allow students to  develop extra skills and leadership traits. From Campus Ministry to Broadcasting Club to Model United Nations, there is an option for every Saint Joe’s student to explore their passions.

5. Formation/Life Preparation - A Saint Joseph education extends well beyond the classroom, with a goal to develop the whole student and prepare them for a pattern of success. By the time they reach college, they will be prepared to problem solve and overcome life’s obstacles.  

6. Brotherhood - The bond between Falcons is second-to-none. The social atmosphere at Saint Joe’s allows students to create meaningful relationships that span across what town you are from, grade-level, and what sport you play.

7. The Falcon Alumni Network - When students get accepted into Saint Joseph High School, they become a part of something bigger: a connected network of over 10,000 Falcons. Entrance into the Falcon Alumni Network upon graduation is a resource that knows no bounds, helping our graduates with the college process, internships, career advancement and more.
