The musical event of the Spring will be performed in the Michael J. Catanzaro Theatre when the Saint Joseph Theatre Company brings Mel Brooks’ Tony Award nominated musical Young Frankenstein to life from April 18 to April 21.
Based on the 1974 film of the same name directed by Mel Brooks and starring Gene Wilder, Young Frankenstein is a musical parody of old school horror films such as the 1931 movie version of Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein by Universal Pictures.
Following the grandson of Dr. Victor Frankenstein and his cohorts on the quest to recreate the infamous creature, this sure-to-entertain production sees a new era of over-the-top science and monster madness rise from the lab.
Performances of Young Frankenstein will be on Thursday, April 18, Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m., with a 3 p.m. matinee on Sunday, April 21. All tickets will be sold at the door for $10.
