Any doubts about the Saint Joseph Football team’s new faces for the 2024 season were put to rest on Brenner Family Field during the Falcons’ week 2 victory over Union.

Reggie Brolpeh ‘26 jump started the team with a 96-yard touchdown on the game’s opening kickoff and quarterback Justin Scaramuzzo ‘26 rushed for two touchdowns to lead the Falcons past the Farmers, 32-8, on Saturday.

The Saint Joseph signal caller now has six total touchdowns, three in the air and three on the ground.

On the defensive side, defensive back Ashton Irving ‘25 picked off three Union passes in the winning effort, tied for the most in the state for week two games. Javon Hudson ‘25 led the team with nine tackles, while Jaylen Frias ‘27 added five of his own.

Placekicker Tyler Huseth ‘25 hit two field goals and two extra-points.

Saint Joe’s looks to go 3-0 on the season on Friday night when they visit Elizabeth (2-1, 0-1). The Falcons are 2-1 in their last three games against the Minutemen. Last year, Jeremy DeCaro '24 had two rushing touchdowns, while the team ran for 251 yards in the victory. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at William Field.
