The Saint Joseph Bowling team took their talents to the national stage and set a new standard for Falcon athletic programs in the U.S. National High School Bowling Championship.

Fresh off his second straight NJSIAA Individual Bowling title, Kai Strothers ‘26 dominated the boys bowling field to claim his first National Championship.

Strothers edged Nick Green (Big Walnut HS - Sanbury, Ohio) by 15 pins to take home the trophy. He bowled a 249 in the championship bout, pacing the 388-bowler field.

Will Cunningham ‘26, the 2024 NJSIAA Individual Bowling runner-up, placed No. 24, Devon Kiessling ‘24 finished No. 48. Joey Lamoreaux ‘27 was No. 123, with his brother, Josh ‘27, coming in at No. 132. EJ Chin ‘24 finished No. 177.

As a team, the Falcons earned ninth place, just short of the Top 8 cut.

The Saint Joseph Bowling Team will be honored at the NJ Advance Media/ High School Game Changes Sports Live Awards on June 17. The squad is a finalist for Boys Team of the Year.
