Tim LeCras

The January 2023 Edison Rotary Seniors of the Month for Saint Joseph High School are Christian Foster and Joshua Oliveira.

Christian Foster is a senior at Saint Joseph High School. He enjoys volunteering and has recently earned his Eagle Scout designation from BSA Troop 110 in Edison. His Eagle Scout Project was an American Flag retirement box complete with a walkway and plant bed at the American Legion Father & Son Post #435. He plans to continue his studies at the Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick. He is applying to become a volunteer firefighter with the Edison Fire Department, with plans to attend the Middlesex Fire Academy. Foster occasionally volunteers at the Hands of Hope Food Pantry and hopes to get more involved there this year. He also has recently applied as an adult leader for BSA Troop 110.

Joshua Oliveira is a senior at Saint Joseph High School and lifelong resident of Edison. A diligent student, he is enrolled in numerous honors and AP classes and is the team captain of the school's robotics team and Vice-President of the Model United Nations and Youth & Government programs. He is a two-year varsity player for the Falcons soccer team, and this past summer, worked at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in their Chemical Engineering Department, researching chemical warfare agents. In his community, he was the Senior Patrol Leader of his boy scout troop and completed his Eagle Scout Project at the Hands of Hope Food Pantry, where he regularly works as a volunteer. He plans to continue his studies in college, pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering and robotic technologies.
