The tradition of academic and athletic excellence will continue for a dozen members of the Saint Joseph High School Class of 2025.
In front of a jam-packed Zenga Library full of friends and family, 12 student-athletes signed national letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level.
Dylan Boguszewski ‘25, a rower who will study Political Science and Government at La Salle University, credits the Saint Joseph High School culture for pushing him and his fellow signees to do well inside and outside the classroom.
“I would say that Saint Joe’s definitely prepared me a lot mentally,” Boguszekwsi said. “I like knowing that if you study really hard in the classroom and work really hard when it comes to sports, it’ll pay off.”
The Saint Joseph lacrosse team was well represented at the first signing day of the school year, featuring Nick Hengerer ‘25 (Ursinus College), James Wasko ‘25 (Stockton University), Giuseppe Davis ‘25 (Caldwell University), Enrique Mercado ‘25 (Hood College), and Dylan Mackie ‘25 (Southwestern University).
Five student-athletes from the baseball team committed to the next level, including Robert Christensen ‘25 (Babson College), Richard Zangara ‘25 (Ithaca College), John Palermo ‘25 (Susquehanna University), Damian Pipitone ‘25 (Delaware Valley University), and Matthew Ferber ‘25 (New Jersey City University).
Other teams that represented included Boguszewski (La Salle University) and basketball center Will Phillips ‘25 (Connecticut College).
Saint Joseph High School congratulates all signees and looks forward to seeing their success in the future.
