Early Action Program

The Early Action program offers prospective students the opportunity to attend an entrance exam preparation course during the summer of 2026, and at the conclusion of the course, they will be administered the Saint Joseph High School Entrance Exam.

The Early Action Program is open to current 7th-grade students who will be applying for admission to the Class of 2031. Prospective students will have the option of selecting one of three weeks to enroll in the program. The program will be held the weeks of July 6, July 13, and July 20, 2026, and will run Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. On each Friday, prospective students will be administered the Saint Joseph Entrance & Scholarship Exam from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Throughout the week, students will be taught by Saint Joseph High School faculty members, where they will acquire greater expertise in verbal and mathematical skills. Students will have the opportunity to meet and to interact with their future Saint Joseph High School classmates. The cost of this program is $200, which includes a student's formal application fee, the preparation course, and the entrance exam. Since Saint Joseph High School is the first-choice school for most applicants, this program will offer applicants the opportunity to complete the admissions process during the summer, when there are fewer distractions, and the applicant can better prepare for their entrance exam. Applicants who are offered admission through the Early Action Program will no longer need to spend additional time and resources applying to their second or third choice schools. Please note that students will need to accept their admission offers by November 15, 2026, to secure their spot in the class. Students who earn scholarships through the Early Action Program must accept those scholarship offers by November 15, 2026. In order to accept an offer of admission and/or scholarship, students must be registered through FACTS. Registration information will be provided with the acceptance letters. Students who are not offered admission in the Early Action Program may be deferred to the Fall Admissions program. There is a limited number of spaces available in the Early Action Program. Once those spaces are filled, all additional applicants will be deferred to the Fall Admissions Program. |
