Transportation
Getting You Where You Need to Go
Saint Joseph High School does have bus service from most surrounding areas under twenty miles. For questions about service areas, please contact Mr. Michael Monahan '11 at mmonahan@stjoes.org.
Private Buses
We are currently in the process of coordinating private bus routes that can serve our students. By the 2nd week of August, we aim to provide you with detailed information regarding these potential routes, including preliminary schedules and costs. For reference, last year’s cost for private busing was $1750 for the year (except for those transporting with Kensington Bus Company).
NJ Transit Train
For families looking for other options, I would like to remind you that the NJ Transit Northeast Corridor line is extremely practical. The train line runs into Metuchen, less than a mile from campus and offers students a discounted rate as well. This option allows students to remain on campus for as long as they need, participating in tutoring, clubs, sports, and other activities until 8 pm each day. Many current students already use this option, traveling from various stops along the Northeast Corridor line including Newark and Princeton Junction and all stops in between.
Carpooling
To further assist parents in finding transportation solutions, we are developing a parent directory that will facilitate carpooling opportunities. This directory will serve as a platform for parents to coordinate and share rides with those who are local to you. We appreciate all the Saint Joe's families who are helping other students transport to Saint Joseph High School.
Please keep an eye on your inbox, especially your Saint Joe's parent emails for further updates regarding private bus routes and other transportation arrangements. If you need assistance with your Saint Joe's parent email, please contact Mrs. Kwiecien at jkwiecien@stjoes.org. We are committed to ensuring that all our students will get to experience what makes Saint Joe’s such a special place.
