Advancement Database Manager
School Description
Saint Joseph, a private, Catholic, all-boys college preparatory school is located on 76 acres in Metuchen and Edison in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Saint Joseph is operated by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, who have been active in American education since their arrival from Lyons, France in 1847. Job Title: Advancement Database Manager
Position Description
The Advancement Database Manager is a member of the Saint Joseph Office of Advancement & Alumni Relations team and reports to the Director of Alumni Relations. The Advancement Database Manager is responsible for a variety of duties that support the efficient operation of the Advancement & Alumni Relations Department.
Areas of Responsibility
- Manages the constituent database (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge), including the updating of constituent records, gift processing, and preparing donor correspondence
- Produces Advancement gift and analysis reports
- Assists in data analysis to identify key donor prospects
- Assists with the planning and execution of special events
- Supports monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliation between Advancement and Finance teams including audit support
- Maintains and expands Policy and Procedure documentation
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office.
- Additional responsibilities or duties as assigned by the Director of Alumni Relations or the President
Qualifications
- Closely related experience and/or nonprofit experience preferred.
- Database experience is a must; experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge highly desired.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large projects, and possession of excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Must possess strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills and be able to communicate effectively, through presentation and in writing, to internal and external constituents including faculty & staff, students, alumni, parents, and friends of Saint Joe’s.
- Above all, must demonstrate a dedication to the mission of Saint Joseph, with an ability to clearly and passionately communicate the school's value and impact.
