Job Posting for a Junior Rowing Coach at Saint Joseph High School, Metuchen, New Jersey
Saint Joseph High School, owned and operated by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, is a private, Catholic all-boys college preparatory school looking for a talented individual to take on the role of Assistant Men's Rowing Coach. The start date for this position is effective immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

Practices are Sunday through Thursday evenings in either Metuchen, NJ (erg & weight training) or East Brunswick, NJ (on-water training); the candidate selected for hire only needs to coach 2 nights per week.

Must be comfortable coaching all aspects of rowing to the men; with a major focus of proper technique.

Must be comfortable taking direction and acting independently to implement/make decisions and work with head coach to develop coaching strategies.
Qualifications:

Rowing Experience, collegiate or Masters-level required; sculling preferred.

Fingerprinting & Background Check

CPR & Basic First Aid Certificate

NJ Boating Safety Certificate or equivalent

SafeSport Certified

Prior coaching experience is not necessary - just a desire to teach, learn, motivate, and inspire. We will train the candidate who is the best fit.
